Job Description
Mercure Sydney Blacktown is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Part Time Cook to join our team of inspired hospitality professionals. You will be working mainly the breakfast shift, preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and food prep for our all-day dining menu and Distrikt Cafe. 2 days per week required and an opportunity to pick up extra shifts of an evening as required for events and functions.

What you will be doing:
· Full ownership and operation of the kitchen including breakfast service whilst on shift.
· Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality are maintained.
· Preparing, cooking and serving breakfast for the hotel buffet
· Preparing food for Distrikt Cafe and our all-day dining menu
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of ingredients.
· Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and all dishes are washed at the end of each shift
Qualifications
· Trade qualifications or soon to be completed
· Preferably be experienced in buffet breakfast service/lunch service
· Deliver consistent, high quality food while maintaining set food cost
· Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests
· Have great communication skills & a positive attitude
· Have excellent planning and organisational skills
· Have willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests
