Key tasks

MISSIONS

- The Cluster Social Media Manager’s mission is to primarily promote the hotel and to drive awareness, interaction and direct audiences to direct booking channels via key social media channels.
- The Goal is to achieve optimal reach across all areas of Social Media including:
o Facebook
o Instagram
o Twitter
o Google Plus
o VKontact

- The Cluster Social Media Manager is responsible for the communication and coordination with the operation team on-site in order to ensure an optimal in-house promotion for each action engaged.

- The Cluster Social Media Manager will assist the Cluster Digital Marketing Manager in promoting the hotel via diverse online channels, including:
o Hotel micro-site (primarily through translations from English to Thai)

- The performance of the Cluster Social Media Manager will be determined by the productivities of the above mentioned areas of social marketing as well as the overall results of the hotel.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEANS

- The Cluster Social Media Manager performs his/her duties within the framework defined by the chain and hotel norms and by internal regulations as specified by the Cluster Digital Marketing Manager.

- Assist the Sales & Marketing team function in:
o Maintaining of websites where there is social engagement to ensure content is up to date and relevant
o Maintaining of promotional opportunities through key social websites to ensure greatest possible exposure
o Monitoring of guest reviews through social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter …and through OLTA (Booking.com, Expedia…)
o Identify marketing opportunities through third party social media sites and forward recommendations to Cluster Digital Marketing Manager.
o Keep within the Accor brand guidelines for all social media advertising and social media marketing.
o Management and completion of the Accor Brand Audit for social media.
o Review the score rankings across each social media platform and in conjunction with Cluster Digital Marketing Manager identifying areas of improvement.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

o Scheduling of daily posts to drive awareness and interaction with future, current, previous guests as well as people in general.
o Creation, development and implementation of social media competitions
o Increase the level of social engagement and interaction amongst audience across different platforms
o Ensure Accor Brand Compliance
o Regular updating and creation of new content and information
o Report and analyse results, and provide future recommendations to Cluster Digital Marketing Manager based on findings.
- Preparing, implementing and compiling information to develop strategic Social Media Plans.
- Work closely with Accor Digital Marketing Cluster
- Surveying, reviewing and analyzing of the competitors social media efforts, in order to be proactive and adapt to competitor intelligence.

ADMINISTRATION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Cluster Social Media Manager:
- Keeps a record on all social media activities and understands what is successful and what is not successful
- Prepares a 1 month in advance social media schedule to record all social media related activities for the proceeding 4 weeks.
- Presents a summary of his/her findings / successes / activities to the Cluster Digital Marketing Manager on a weekly basis.
- Updates activity schedules as required based on changes in market.
- Has regular communication and involvement with the Accor Digital Marketing Cluster

SKILLS REQUIRED

- Fluent in English
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude with a great willingness to learn
- Strong written Thai language skills

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- The Cluster Social Media Manager is familiar with:
o The operation and application of the hotel’s computer systems.
o The fundamentals of social media and electronic distribution systems
o Websites / extranets and the functionality behind them

COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Cluster Social Media Manager: -
- Keeps himself/herself well informed about the operations especially in key departments (Revenue Management, F&B, Recreation, Spa, Front Office, Sales & Marketing etc.)
- Closely observes matters pertaining to what the competition are doing in the areas of social marketing.
- Promotes the hotel as often as possible through social marketing activities.

DIRECT LIAISONS

- The Cluster Social Media Manager reports directly to the Cluster Digital Marketing Manager.

FUNCTIONAL LIAISONS

- The Cluster Social Media Manager will maintain contact with all relevant departments of the hotel
- The Cluster Social Media Manager will work closely with the Accor Digital Marketing Cluster in the areas of Social Media.
- Maintain relationships with key people pertaining to social marketing within the hotel industry
