Job Description
Category Manager (m/f/d) – Procurement New Markets
We are looking for a Category Manager to join our procurement team in Budapest. you play a key role in driving our strategy and driving solutions for our hotel partners in the region and strengthening our presence as a trusted partner for Procurement Services in the region. Your role will involve developing category strategies, managing tenders, and maintaining strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver value and ensure client satisfaction.
What will you do?
· As Category Manager, you will set up strategies in your categories, source suppliers, negotiate contracts with them, deploy their solutions in the hotels and manage the relationships
· Define and execute category strategies based on business needs and market intelligence
· Conduct spend analyses to identify opportunities for consolidation and innovation
· Manage sourcing processes including RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contracting
· Lead and collaborate on tenders and bidding processes together with the other category teams and support the local identification and implementation of best practices, synergies and more
· Build and nurture strategic supplier partnerships to drive performance and value
· Manage the selection and decision making process of suppliers, including assessment of quotations, and negotiation of contracts, prices and T&Cs
· Take full ownership of financial performance, including EBIT, revenue, customer savings, and bad debt control
Qualifications
Our ideal profile would be:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, with expertise in category management
· Strong strategic and analytical mindset, with a proactive and customer-oriented approach
· Proven ability to manage complex sourcing projects and supplier relationships
· Comfortable working in a multicultural and cross-functional environment
· Full professional proficiency in English and Hungarian; any additional European language is a plus
· Learning mindset with a high level of autonomy and drive
· Familiarity with digital procurement tools is a strong advantage
