Job Description

We are currently seeking a  Casual Cook  to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will have the opportunity to gain experience across all areas of kitchen operations.

This would be a great role for someone who has recently graduated or is studying cooking

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

·  Cooking meals for breakfast and dinner services
·  Food preparation, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking
·  Stewarding duties, including washing dishes and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
·  Deep cleaning of kitchen areas as required to maintain high standards of hygiene
·  Learning all aspects of kitchen operations, including food safety and kitchen management

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:

·  Experience in cooking or kitchen operations (preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting)
·  Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
·  Strong work ethic with a keen eye for detail and cleanliness
·  Positive attitude, flexible and eager to learn
·  Exemplary communication skills.
·  Excellent organisational skills.
·  Ability to maintain high and consistent standards.
·  Food Handlers certificate or willingness to obtain
·  Availabilty to work across a 7 day roster including mornings, evenings and weekends
