About the role
As an Assistant Manager at Ibis Sydney World Square , you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of this vibrant hotel. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and leading a talented team. This full-time role is based in the heart of Sydney CBD .
Job Description
· Overseeing daily Hotel daily activity to deliver excellent customer service
· Monitoring staff performance and providing coaching and mentoring to develop the team
· Implementing and maintaining hotel policies, procedures and standards
· Analysing hotel performance data and making recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability
· Fostering a positive work culture and promoting teamwork amongst the hotel staff
· Handling guest enquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
Qualifications
· Significant experience (1-2 years) in a similar Assistant Manager or GSA ready to take the next step
· Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
· Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise with guests, staff and other stakeholders
· Proficient in using hotel management software and data analysis tools
· A thorough understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping and food and beverage
· Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Management or a related field
