Job Description

Accounts Payable / General Cashier

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Accounts Payable / General Cashier join our dynamic Accounting team. 
As an  Accounts Payable / General Cashier , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Hotel's finances and safe are secured and Accounts are accurately paid!

What you will be doing:

·  Fully responsible for the Hotel main safe; counting, reporting and investigating any variances and complying with hotel processes and FOCUS Audit guidelines.
·  Preparing the daily cash and bank deposits, cashier bank requests from managers,
·  Counting all cashiers’ banks, completing daily credit card reconciliation and reporting any variances and updating foreign currency rates. 
·  Responsible for maintaining the Accounts Payable Ledger by coding all hotel invoices, reconciling vendor statements, following all W-9/1099 Accor procedures in accordance with government guidelines, and controlling prepayments.
·  Train managers on the Payable processes according to Focus Audit guidelines; review and address any questions regarding invoices, expense reports, and check statuses.
·  Verify monthly Food and Beverage inventory, and provide Accounting support as needed. 

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

·  Two years of Accounting experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
·  Strong organizational skills to ensure proper and accurate reporting and timely payment of accounts.
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills.
·  Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
·  OPERA & Silverware experience is preferred.  
·  Must have experience working with computers, specifically Excel and Word.
