Accounts Payable Accountant

Key tasks

The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for providing an efficient and accurate accounts payable service for Novotel London West and its suppliers ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with Novotel standards and legal requirements.

Duties:

• Conversing in a professional manner with guests and suppliers, both on the telephone and in all written correspondence
• Ensuring that guest/suppliers queries and complaints are responded to promptly, and that any shortfalls in service are communicated to the relevant departments
• Ensure that the Purchase Ledger reflects the monies actually owed and that payments are allocated in the correct accounts.
• To receive, despatch for authorisation, code and enter all invoices to the system cross matching invoices to PO’s and/or quotes including recharges from Accor UK.
• To ensure that suppliers are paid within their specified credit terms
• To inform the Finance Manager if procedures are not respected
• Ensuring the office is a tidy and organised working environment
• Responsible for the archiving and filing of all accounts payable related correspondence
• Maintaining the appropriate records for audit purposes.
• Ensure the accuracy of all reported data
• To use every opportunity to protect Hotel revenue and profitability
• To support the admin function of the maintenance department in PO control and accrual management.
• Ensure that all authorisation procedures are respected
• To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required.
