Job Description:
The UX Designer/Front End Developer will work as a part of the Accenture Digital Delivery capability. Qualified candidates will be required to provide functional and technical expertise around all aspects of the project relating to the user experience. This includes but is not limited to user analysis, drafting of personas and storyboards, wireframing and prototyping, developing the UI and front end and engaging with the relevant client stakeholders.
In this role you will require a combination of front end technical expertise, UX design expertise, customer and partner relationship management skills to conduct on-site and off-site engagements. In this position you will work directly with engineers, managers, designers and business users in order to define the scope of the product, create and maintain the product's design, develop and test the product's front end and present all stages of design and development to the relevant client stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
· Execute all visual design stages from concept to final draft
· Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
· Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
· Ensure the technical feasibility of your designs
· Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
· Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
· Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
· Develop and maintain the front end of your designs
· Build reusable code and libraries for future use
· Optimise the application for maximum speed and scalability
Desired profile
Requirements:
· Proven UX experience
· Demonstrable UX design skills with a strong portfolio
· Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
· Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure, Proto.io, Invision or other visual design and wire-framing tools
· Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
· Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
· Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
· Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
· Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and Angular JS
· Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
· Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
· Proficient in responsive web design
· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and SVN
· Proficiency in hybrid app (Phonegap/Cordova), native Android and native iOS development is a bonus
· Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
· Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
· Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
