Job description
Job Title: Training Specialist
Reports To: Training Team Leader
Role: The HR/L&D Team are seeking to appoint a Trainer to join the EMEA
based operation. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a
fast-paced and dynamic team environment whilst gaining excellent
experience in a variety of training disciplines. This is a hands-on role,
ensuring the continued integration of the Learning & Development
function within the organisation.
The Training Specialist is responsible for the overall training of new
hires of the product stream, encouraging simplified and streamlined
training within GCE teams. The successful candidate will be
accountable for the achievement of both external and internal training
metrics with a keen eye on performance and efficiency, continuously
driving improvement in customer and client satisfaction.
Person Spec and Competencies
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Research, develop & deliver training
programmes including induction,
product training, product refreshers,
employee development & system &
workflow trainings.
● Apply principles of adult learning into
the design and delivery of group
training at all levels.
● Deliver positive and negative feedback
in one to one & group forums.
● Plan, organize, and direct a wide range
of training activities.
● Conduct continuous Training Needs
Analysis.
● Research & develop training materials.
● Measure the impact of learning
interventions on key business metrics.
● Identify quality patterns and decide on
most effective learning interventions to
on key business metrics.
● Participate in and lead meetings to
determine training requirements.
Skills & Experience:
● The successful candidate should
have at least 1-2 years’ experience
as a trainer, training and/or hold a
relevant training qualification.
● Experience in mentoring & coaching.
● Highly proficient in Google slides,
Google sheets and MS Powerpoint.
● Ability to pick up new systems and
information quickly with an excellent
technical aptitude.
● Ability to communicate, influence
and build strong relationships
through open communication,
respect and trust.
● Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills with good
judgement and decision making
skills.
● Ability to work in fast-paced
environment.
● Knowledge of up-to-date and
innovative training techniques.
● Manage training calendar and attend to
all training administration including
reporting.
● Providing direction and support to
ensure quality and consistency of
training is maintained.
● Work with product SME’s to ensure
training is delivered to the highest
quality and efficiency.
● Work with Quality department to ensure
closed loop training/quality feedback
● Evaluate training courses and materials
and make continuous improvements as
required.
● Research and develop compulsory
basic training and web based training
materials
● Take ownership for specific L&D
projects seeing them through to
completion
● Manage own time and ensure that
training is timely and effective.
● Strong influencing skills with the
ability to influence at all levels.
