Operations professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology. They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process outsourcing services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Outsourcing professionals may be based at a client's office or in one of Accenture's 50 delivery centers around the world.

The Tort Analyst works as part of a team that identifies, negotiates, collects funds from liable third parties, estates, public assistance members to ensure the integrity and cost effectiveness of programs administered by the department. Responsibilities include examination of paid claims, contacting appropriate parties for information, calculating liability and financial recovery. Other responsibilities include tracking, reporting recovery funds into software systems, filing claims, and negotiating settlements.

Key Responsibilities:
· Analyzes facts and reports regarding member cases relevant to Motor Vehicle Accidents, Slip and Falls, Mass Liability Litigation
· Determines amount of related Medicaid paid claims.
· Interprets applicable Department policy, Medicaid Policy, Texas Administrative Code TAC, Federal and State Rules Regulations pertaining to Third Party Liability
· Contacts, communicates effectively and accurately with Medicaid Clients, third party Case Representatives, Insurance companies, Attorneys, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and Claims Team to gather additional information relative to paid claims and recoveries
· Strong team mentality
· Creates detailed and concise notes when documenting case in a clear manner that involves a high volume of cases with significant financial implications to the Medicaid program and members
· Works within Phoenix and other software systems to accurately reflect recovery
· Files and tracks liens or claims
· Negotiates the settlement of liens or claims within department guidelines and with Supervisor approval

Desired profile

Basic Qualifications:
·  High School Diploma
·  Minimum of 2 years' experience in AP / AR, Collections, Call Center or Claims / insurance industry.
·  Minimum of 1 year experience analyzing Excel reports or data reporting

Preferred Qualifications:
·  Strong attention to detail
·  Records keeping experience
·  Experience with health care reimbursement
·  Experience analyzing cost reports, interpreting and analyzing laws, rules, regulations, and standards affecting reimbursement and recovery
·  Bachelor's degree in social sciences, accounting, healthcare, business or related degree
