Symantec Endpoint Protection Engineer
Role Description:
· Lead SEP team in initiatives and escalated issue resolution.
· Install, configure, and provide oversight of SEPM and SQL servers.
· Work with SIEM and DataLake teams to maintain integrity of SEP data imported into external data repositories.
· Create, distribute, maintain Agents and Repositories (GUPS).
· Configure and certify Root Product Policies and Tasks.
· Install, test, deploy product updates.
· Install and configure SEPM upgrades.
· Set up Automated Event Notifications.
· Lead efforts to maintain AV compliance metrics. Specifically, identify noncompliant platforms for SEPM agent, Product, and Engine components and coordinate reporting and remediation efforts.
· Collaborate with packaging, deployment, etc. teams on creating and distributing tools designed to keep the SEP client healthy and in compliance.
· Follow up with site administrators for status on noncompliant platforms and maintain any necessary exception documentation.
· Maintain documentation for exceptions to SEP standards.
· Assist site administrators with SEPM environment issues.
· Primary interface for external/internal audits of SEP.
· Track licensing quarterly within Accenture.
· Assist Information Security teams/coordinate tasks to contain and resolve virus outbreaks when required.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Skills and Qualifications:
·  Minimum of 2 years as an expert in Symantec Endpoint Protection client configuration, troubleshooting
·  Minimum of 2 years as an expert in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) server management, design, build, infrastructure
·  Expert in incident response
·  Minimum of 2 years proficiency in SQL
·  Proficient in industry best practices, in tune with industry trends, security threats, Windows workstation security
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft and other third-party anti-virus products
·  Proficient in Windows configuration, scripting languages, client health, Active Directory, Group Policy
·  Proficient in Excel
·  Ability to work with a variety of teams to perform database maintenance including SQL upgrades as needed
·  Ability to quickly adapt to changes and learn new skills
·  Ability to think creatively and foster innovation
