Location: London, Newcastle, Manchester, Edinburgh

Travel: Some projects will be based outside of your home location

Health & Public Service Consulting

Our Health & Public Service (H&PS) industry group works across a range of different clients on some of the most challenging and interesting transformation programmes in the UK. We work with some of the largest and most complex government institutions, right the way through to individual NHS trusts or Police forces.

Within H&PS, our Management Consulting group drives transformation for our clients. We provide services across strategy and business architecture, business transformation and operational excellence.

The Strategy & Architecture Practice

The Strategy & Architecture practice contains professionals specialising in strategy, digital and business design.

We are looking for experienced consultants to join our team. We value critical and structured thinkers who can pull apart difficult problems. We value persuaders and influencers of people. We value those who can articulately themselves clearly and galvanise action.

The Strategy & Archit ec ture practice operates as “the tip of the spear” for H&PS. We typically work in short, intense projects between four and twelve weeks long. We create value for our clients by combining the latest thinking on digital technology, business design expertise and experience creating robust strategy.

We are looking for high-capability individuals to deliver these important projects, create value for our clients and grow our business.

In Strategy & Architecture, our service offering centres around:

1. Business Strategy including visioning, operating model, business case and service design

2. Talent & Organisational Strategy including organisational design and talent strategy

3. Digital & Technology Strategy including data strategy, digital and infrastructure diagnostics

4. Transformational Strategy including portfolio design and management, delivery roadmap and programme recovery.

Our work is not characterised by routine. Your day to day work will be varied.

Responsibilities

§ Work on one of our H&PS clients, delivering strategy and architecture work

§ Deliver the strategy and architecture service offering to clients

§ Use Accenture's latest methods, tools, and assets to deliver valuable outcomes for our clients

§ Work in teams and independently with a range of stakeholders including Accenture resources, client teams and other third parties

§ Engage across the different areas of Accenture to build your network and expertise and to bring the best of Accenture to your client work

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Your Experience - We're looking for experience in the following areas:

We expect candidates at the Consultant level to have experience in the following:

§ Working at pace in a challenging environment

§ Influencing people and brokering agreement

§ Communicating complicated messages simply and clearly

§ Delivering high quality work in short time scales

§ Working autonomously, with little management oversight, often against a “vague brief”

§ Identifying, designing and shaping new client opportunities

§ Building strong and lasting professional relationships

§ Using standard Microsoft office tools to a high degree of competency

For Strategy & Architecture , we are looking specifically for the following attributes:

§ Advanced critical thinking . You should able to dissect issues into a logical structure and derive reasoned conclusions.

§ Creativity . You should able to think unprompted of novel solutions to problems.

§ Advanced numeracy . You should be comfortable using quantitative methods and tools, particularly MS Excel, to build persuasive arguments.

§ Influencer. You should be able to write clearly and concisely. You will be able to articulate ideas before an audience and inspire confidence. You will use language adroitly.

§ Digital Fluency. You should be able to talk knowledgeably on the latest digital technologies and how these are applicable to public services.

§ Knowledge of our Services . You should be able to articulate an understanding of our core service offer. For example, you should be familiar with the concept of a business case and a target operating model.

§ Industry knowledge . You should be able to hold a discussion of the latest trends impacting health and public sector clients.

Qualifications

§ You should have an upper second-class university degree (or international equivalent) at minimum

§ You should have at least two years of relevant work experience
