Job Description

Java Technology Platform professionals develop application using Java technology. The Java Technology Platform is a computing environment that allows for developing and executing applications for small and mobile devices (consumer and embedded systems), PC desktops and medium to large businesses.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities: Solves routine problems largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines. Interacts within own team and with direct supervisor. Receives detailed to moderate level of instruction on daily work tasks and detailed instruction on new assignments. Decisions impact own work. Individual contributor as a part of a team, with a predetermined, focused scope of work.

Job Requirements

Design, develop, and configure software systems to meet market and/or client requirements either end-to-end from analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance (including testing), to delivery and maintenance of the software product or system or for a specific phase of the lifecycle. Apply knowledge of technologies, applications, methodologies, processes and tools to support a client, project or entity.

Desired profile

The Java Developer will be required to perform application development functions. Development functions include maintaining and upgrading the data access and distribution technology platform as required .

Basic Qualifications

Software Developer ( Core Java, OOA/OOD, RDMS Perl)

· Experience working with the Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Batch

· Java Script UI Frameworks like extJS or angularJS

· MQ or other JMS protocols

· Perl

· Capital Markets experience

· Thorough understanding of Core Java, OOA/OOD principals

· Thorough understanding of Agile Development methodologies

· Experience in developing with high performance, multi-threaded applications.

· Experience with Relational Database concepts and SQL

· Strong written and verbal skills

Development Responsibilities:

· Technical Lead for Toronto Product Reference Data (ProRD) development team

· Collaborate on architectural design decisions.

· Develop, test, and maintain high-performance product reference data platform.

· Conduct Java code reviews

· Ensure best SDLC practices are followed.

Support Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Production Management in providing Front Office and Operations support

· Drive root cause analysis for complex problems.

· Share knowledge through KAs (knowledge articles) on problem resolution.

· Participate in on-call rotation.

Team Development/ Professional Responsibilities:

· Provides excellent transparency to stakeholders.

· Dedicated to quality client service.

· Provides support outside normal business hours when on-call.

· Demonstrates effective problem solving skills.

· Effectively manages and controls own tasks.

· Maintains team morale and effectiveness through personal example. Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
