PSD2 Security Consultant Financial Services

Candidate introduction

Would you like to be part of the fastest growing entity of Accenture? Strengthen your skills as part of a global powerhouse of 5000+ security specialists and enjoy the freedom of a start-up environment, backed by access to Accenture's world-class resources? Do you want to help some of the biggest clients in the world and work on exiting projects? We are looking for young spirited (remember, age is just a number!), ambitious, hardworking and fun to work with new colleagues! Make an impact and create a difference, apply now!

Department introduction

Within Accenture Security, we're seeking exceptional individuals to pioneer security solutions that blend risk strategy, digital identity, cyber defense, application security and managed services. Using the coolest next-gen tech, you'll have every chance to stay one step ahead of cybercrime and out-smart hackers.

What will your day look like?

Firstly, no two days are the same! But we can always try to give you an example. As a Security Consultant, you will help clients to translate business objectives to practical IT Security solutions, keeping external regulations in mind. Our Security Consultants combine technological and advisory skills and help design and implement innovative information systems.

Once arrived at the client site you'll have a stand-up meeting with the client and Accenture project team to discuss progress and challenges. After the meeting, you grab a coffee with your colleagues and read through your e-mails, taking action on the urgent items and easy fixes. Then you jump into a meeting with the compliance officer to discuss their specific requirements regarding ongoing Open Banking initiatives and how this relates to security requirements for the different running and new projects. You discuss with one of the Open Banking initiative product owners, project manager and scrum master what the status is on the implementation of the predefined, updated and new security requirements and which additional required actions need to be added to the backlog. Time for lunch!

You join lunch with the team and any client staff and enjoy a fresh meal. After lunch, you have your regular meeting with the developers to discuss the implications of the controls and how they can ensure everything they develop is secure by design and should not require rework to implement security. Validating the test reports with them shows the actual level of security and possible required rework

After a quick call with an Accenture colleague on an issue you cannot fix yourself and she is the expert in, you walk through the solution design with the solution architect and discuss the solution your colleague proposed to fix a security gap without impacting project pace. After checking in with the developers again, you have a final look at your email and calendar to ensure you are fully prepared for tomorrow. Before you're heading home, you join in one of the virtual global knowledge sharing session on DevSecOps to discuss the latest trends and align and update each other.
