JOB DESCRIPTION
The Solution Architect will play a critical role in spearheading the sales and delivery of a specific technology solution area. The Solution Architect possesses vast experience in a professional services and solution selling environment and has a background that illustrates extensive capabilities in solution delivery particularly around their solution area. The applicant will possess the skills to provide strategic leadership for the specific solution, offering both conceptual and practical solutions to clients.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
· Provide subject matter expertise to identify and recommend workable solutions to clients
· Provide program and project management leadership on relevant client engagements
· Work with the Project Manager to develop the overall implementation solution plan and serve as a lead, as required, overseeing aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects within solution area
· Accountable for broader quality of delivery across relevant Solution Platform projects through appropriate risk mitigation strategies
· Create and distribute reusable Solution Platform sales and delivery content to ensure scalability of solution area and group
· Provide point of view on Solution Platform and vendor market place Support the business development life cycle by serving as a solution SME and assisting with the identification and qualification of business development opportunities
· Help lead and contribute to the estimation effort for relevant proposals and/or projects
· Help support vendor relationship for Solution Platform sales and delivery
· Evangelizes Accenture as a leader in Solution Platform through speaking opportunities, publications, conference participation, etc.
· Participates in career development processes and provides career development mentorship / guidance to staff

Desired profile
Basic Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years designing, architecting, and integrating retail store systems (Point-of-Sale, Signage, Peripherals, etc.).
· Minimum 5 years working on large, complex retail projects/programs.
· Minimum 5 years in client facing role
· Ability to meet minimum travel requirements - up to 80% (Monday - Thursday)
· Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
· Strong understanding of Software Delivery Lifecycle, Architectures, and Middleware technologies
· 5 years working on packaged retail software/systems
· Experience with Retalix, Oracle POS, or other packaged POS software preferred
· Experience with retail Device and Peripheral integration and frameworks (OPOS, JPOS, UPOS)*
· Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
· Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
· Desire to work in an information systems environment
