Job Description:
A Retail Merchandising Process Designer (Management Consultant) will expect to:
· Design and implement business changes that drive industry-specific, function and digital operating model transformation, focusing on task relating to people and process.
· Support managers in translating the strategic direction and business objectives established by clients into application designs, functional process, business requirements and testing scenarios.
· Own deliverables including but not limited to gap analysis, use case, business process and flows, requirements traceability matrix, issue and risk log, status reports, test plans, test execution, work plan.
· Leverage Accenture's methods, tools, and assets to design solutions for retail organization.
· Collaborate with client leads and/or within Accenture on matters such as deliverable planning and completion and aligning on target business outcomes and approach Confirms deliverables and status with limited guidance from Accenture supervisor.
· Manage own work and on occasion, small-to-medium size teams and oversees team work activities to achieve milestones, quality deliverables and business outcomes.
· Use considerable judgment to drive day-to-day business alignment activities.
· Effectively leverages their direct Accenture supervisor to help mitigate risks and resolve complex challenges before they become issues.
· Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with clients and Accenture executives.
· Understand stakeholder engagement and business and IT alignment importance in a large Retail engagement
Desired profile
Basic Qualifications:
· Minimum 2+years of external consulting experience with a large firm or large internal project business architect role.
· Minimum 3+ years of retail merchandising planning and execution experience in one or more areas: merchandise financial planning, item planning, assortment planning, allocation, demand forecasting, replenishment, pricing, promotions, Omni-channel planning, inventory planning, product development, core merchandising, and/or analytics
· Minimum 1+ years working in a systems integration environment
· Minimum 2+ years of Retail experience with background knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Plan to Purchase (Merchandising), Procure to Pay (Supply Chain), and/or Channel Execution (Store Operations)
· Minimum 1+ years working in an ERP (SAP, JDA, Oracle) Retail environment
· Desire and ability to routinely travel up to 75% (Monday-Thursday) and occasionally Fridays as required.
· Bachelor's Degree required
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and experience with Microsoft Visio
Professional Qualifications:
· Experience managing a virtual team
· Experience with use case development, business process design, requirements gathering, business case development and quality assurance testing.
· Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented
· Environment Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
