Job description



Overall Controllership Lead for Gallia responsible and accountable for the accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and yearly closings for all the Accenture entities of the area, both in Local and US GaaP.

Missions :

· Reporting up through the organization to the Chief Accounting Officer
· Manage the Gallia Controllership Team: 4 country Controllers directly + local accounting team covering approx. 30 legal entities
· Insure with them of the compliance of the Statutory books and the submission of tax declarations for the entities
· Coordinate the Monthly Closings and supervise the quality reviews to detect any anomaly before the month closes (variance analysis per Account #)
· Insures strong collaboration and coordination between AAE and local controllers
· Responsible of the compliance of the SARBOX controls for all entities
· Manage the local team – 1 experienced Country Controller/country– perform the regular interviews, review and approve their priorities
· Insure the training of the team
· Responsibility and accountability for the team's operating budget
· Partner with the centralized Shared Services Controllership team delivering accounting support to the Gallia countries.
· Support Market Unit CFO in all finance matters pertaining to all the countries under the CFO's responsibility
· Supervise the Statutory Audit (mainly for France)
· Review the statutory accounts with country controllers during the whole year to insure the compliance to local rules
· Insure all the preparation activities for the audit are launched/performed on time
· Supervise and orchestrates external audit in France
· Interact with Auditors together with Controllers during the whole exercise (France)
· Presentation with Country Controller of the French statutory accounts to the CFO and the Presidents of the Companies for their reviews and approvals
· Manage the relationship with the French Work Counsels and with their External Auditors, participate to regular mandatory meetings with CSE
· Participate to the decisions related to French Social Topics in relation to Accounting/Finance matters
· Responsible of interactions with external Partners in France and ad hoc analysis/initiatives : Banks, Private Health Insurance…
· Involved in M&A process of external companies on Accounting, Financial and tax aspects
· Insure with the Country Controllers of the correct accounting treatment in Local Gaap and US Gaap of specific operations linked to Merger&Acquisitions
· Support to the newly acquired companies in the convergence of their accounting towards Accenture's one with the Country Controllers
· Supervise the Annual Cost Structure exercise
· Insure the collaboration between the different departments involved in this exercise
· Reviews the tables with Controllership teams prior to CFO and Business approvals - explanation of the outcome to the Leadership and CFO
· Interact with Procurement department on specific topics in link with accounting to insure updated local regulations are in place
· Interact with the Tax Department
· Coordinate the collection of information in case of Tax Audit (for France mainly) and participate to the answer
· Review and approve the Tax forecast & true ups for all Gallia Entities submitted by Country Controllers
· Answer to any questions from National Organisms or Tax questions (statistics..)
· Drive Process Improvement within the payroll Area
· Participate to Steering Committees with External Payroll Provider and escalate any issue
· Liaise with peer group across Europe to drive overall enhancement of the Controllership function for Accenture
· Attend Weekly Corporate Function Leadership Meetings – Benelux and Morocco/Mauritius

Desired profile



Qualifications :

· 
Minimum 10 years of Experience as Chief of Accounting or similar in a large international Group or Big Accounting Firm

· 
Education: DESCF, Master in Finance & Accounting

· 
Strong Accounting and Tax Technical Skills – French GAAP and US GAAP expert

· 
Structured and Organized with a good drive and strong priority management skills

· 
Experience in the Management of Teams

· 
Good communication skills in a very diverse environment (lots of interactions inside and outside of Controllership department)

· 
Dynamic and able to propose new ideas, agility and problem solver mindset

· 
Autonomous and collaborative

· 
Knowledge of SAP is preferred

· 
French native speaker and fluent in English
