Job Summary

The Long-Term Care RN conducts medical necessity reviews for Long Term Care form submissions.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and analyze medical necessity documentation and assessments according to established criteria and protocols

· Produce decisions as required based on knowledge of Medicaid requirements and training as a Registered Nurse

· Maintain appropriate documentation and support for all requests

· Participate in Fair Hearings as assigned

· Review complaints and appeals by providers investigate and evaluate facts and advise disposition

· Manage incoming phone calls from the provider and customer communities

· Cross train to other areas and assist as required

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications

· Unrestricted Registered Nurse license from the State of Texas

· High school or equivalent GED
