Your impact

Within Accenture Digital, we are looking for an enthusiastic student with business acumen that is passionate about text classification enabled by machine learning algorithms and natural language processing to drive processes and decisions making.

Unstructured data occupies the broadest scale of application on enterprise platforms and is by default heavily text-based. Businesses need to leverage the process of extracting information from textual data to meet the present market demands. However, textual data, and particularly text based on natural language, poses many challenges for analysis and interpretation.

You know this hurdle can be overcome with various Artificial Intelligence labelled techniques, such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning and you like to apply your knowledge and experience to inspire and bring value to our clients.

During your internship, you will be working internally within the Digital Artificial Intelligence team and in close co-operation with our Data scientist cross the company to develop innovative concepts and applications. You will be able to choose your focus, either on the business or technical side and have the option to combine this internship with your master thesis.

Qualifications :

Your background

Minimum domain-specific skills :
• Knowledge of programming languages, preferably Python.
• Experience with data manipulation and data cleansing in Python, R, Excel or equivalent.
• Understanding of natural language processing concepts (Bag of Words, N-grams, etc).
• Understanding of how machine learning and deep learning algorithms work (Support Vector Machines, k-Nearest Neighbors, Naïve Bayes, Random Forest, etc).
• Experience with machine learning pipelines (from data preparation over training to predictions).

Minimum general skills :
• You are a graduate student in your final year of your master degree.
• In your studies you have been exposed to the concepts of Computational Linguistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, NLP, Artificial Intelligence, or similar.
• You are fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
• You are a team player with excellent communication skills.
• You work independently and have a hands-on mentality; you are creative and take responsibility.
• You have a demonstrable affinity with leading-edge technology.
• You have the willingness to learn deep technical skills and apply them to the business of our clients.
