Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Security Engineer to support a critical mission in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Job responsibilities:

· Take ownership of one or more security technologies inside AWS environment including design, implementation, operations & maintenance

· Interface with project managers regarding schedule and level of effort of the above activities

· Identify and troubleshoot client-server, application or integration issues, escalating to SMEs and vendors/OEMs only when appropriate

· Build and manage one or more security technologies and validate changes in a virtual lab environment

· Develop and maintain documentation including designs, drawings, deployment plans, installation guides, job aids and operation and maintenance guides

· Understand all aspects of the technologies and its operation and ensure resilience of the solutions

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

·  BS/BA degree in information systems, computer science or related field or 10 years of IT Work Experience
·  2-3 years hands on experience deploying security infrastructure components, e.g. firewalls, IDS/IPS, configuring those components (firewall rules, firewall port configs), Overall understanding of networking in general
·  Experience with Palo Alto and/or F5 Big IP Appliance technologies
·  Experience managing, securing and troubleshooting network devices from a command line
·  Experience troubleshooting and resolving client-server issues in a TCP/IP network environment
·  US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Security+ certification
·  2-3 years of experience implementing, operating, maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting one or more of the following security technologies that gather information on installed software and configuration settings/security hardening:
·  File Integrity Monitoring/Tripwire
·  Database Monitoring
·  API Gateway/SSL Management - F5 Big IP Appliance
·  Palo Alto
·  Log Management
·  Experience w/ HBSS or ACAS agent deployment
·  AWS Experience
·  Ability to create CloudFormation scripts using JSON/YML.

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
