Job Description:
Billing Specialist is a role covering entire billing area within Telecommunication Company. The key objective of the role is to setup rating and billing processes and configure/change configuration within billing application (Infinis/Geneva, Portal Inranet, etc.), to tailor the billing activities and processes to clients requirements. This includes good understanding of billing application, rating process, billing process, product (discount) configuration, invoice formatting and strong understanding of telecommunication processes. The role is expected to function with only general supervision.
Key responsibilities may include
• Gathering and clarification of functional and technical requirements
• Analysis, design and implementation of changes in billing system based on the specification in the customer/maintenance requirements
• Preparation and continuous update of all required documents
• Participation in testing and acceptance process
• Recommendations to the client on matters of effective utilization of software package's features
• Contribution to a high-performing motivated workgroup
• Observance of defined methodology and standards
Desired profile
What are we looking for:
• Deep knowledge of any market relevant billing systems (Infinis/Geneva, Portal Infranet, BSCS, etc.) and billing processes (rating, billing, invoice formatting)
• Experience with IT operational processes
• Experience with handling database interactions (SQL statements, DML)
• Testing experience
• University education and at least 3 years work experience in IT
• Well structured, action-oriented approach to problem solving
• Advanced communication skills (verbal & written, technical & interpersonal) in English
• Willingness to travel
• Eagerness to learn
Additional qualifications:
• Knowledge of Telco architecture and experience with key areas within Telecommunication Company (CRM, Rating, Billing, Mediation, Middleware, Provisioning ...) is an advantage
• Management and leadership experience and experience in building and leading teams in an often changing environment are beneficial
