Microsoft Certified Engineer - IT & Network Support

Location: Near Gatwick Airport, Easy Commutable Train Journey From East Croydon Station + Walking distance from Station + Free Car Parking

Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 depending on experience

We are looking for a Microsoft Certified Engineer to undertake a permanent IT & Network Support role within a growing company near Gatwick.

You will join a well-established technical team of over 60 people, providing an excellent standard of IT and Network Support to the company whilst also covering the server room management, and their complex IT infrastructure. You will enjoy working Monday to Friday 9-5 and also be placed on an 'Out of Hours Call Out Cover’ on a rota basis.

• Microsoft Certified Engineer
• Previous IT Support / Network support experience
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Articulate, professional and clear verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and rapport-building abilities.
• Excellent Mathematical skills, minimum GCSE Maths at grade A or B

Main job responsibilities:

• As part of the team provide 24/7 support to the Operations division
• Organise and maintain server rooms - neat tidy and maintainable
• First line IT support including installing printer drivers and other applications.
• Assist in the support of company network, phone system and email.
• Support the Clarity domain and understand the communications requirements of the data collection services e.g. direct dial, GPRS, SMS file transfer and the infrastructure required.
• Regular updates check for the windows on PCs.
• Backup to IT Administrator in all tasks such as daily backups, MacAfee virus software updates, software licenses, audit logs etc.
• Maintain our procedures and policies to achieve and maintain Cyber Essentials accreditation.
• Maintain our procedures and policies to achieve and maintain ISO27001 accreditation.
• Participate in regular training/learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge.
