Job Brief
As a Data Scientist you will have the opportunity to work for our global organisation, with the responsibility to build platforms that generate user insights. You will handle different types of data and consolidate this to guide innovative and competitive decisions.
The key dimensions of your work will be: consumer choices, purchase and other behavior data, consumer sentiments and images, Internal and external technical and sensory data, market share, social media, patent summary, publications summary, blogs…
Some responsibilities:
• · Collaborate with R&D to conceptualise and define the key components of business analytics solutions
· Define data requirements and collect data to support business needs
· Lead development of algorithm and models to answer business question and extract value
· Support analytic and visualization tools for Innovation & Development
· Large data proliferation and innovation in data mining systems
· Use analytical techniques to created significant opportunities
· Use business analytics to build competitive advantage.
Requirements
You are capable of working in cross-functional and international project teams leveraging internal and external network and resources. You are target-oriented and have the ability to succeed in an environment in which priorities, project scope and time schedules will be set and adjusted in order to meet challenging business demands.
· Experience working with large data sets, including statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation
· Experience working with structured and unstructured data
· Proficiency in programming with R, Python, Hadoop and experience with data visualization tools
· Knowledge in programming with SAS is an asset
· Experience in the implementation of solutions for end users
· Flexibility to travel short and long distances
· Master Degree with advanced proficiency in mathematics and computer science
· Fluency in English
· 3+ years hands on experience
