Abbott Neuromodulation in Switzerland is offering an

Internship Neuromodulation Field Technical Engineer

with a minimum length of 9 months , home-based in Switzerland

The Opportunity

As an Intern Field Technical Engineer within our Neuromodulation (NMD) team you will be responsible for providing technical support to Sales Representatives and customers on the use of the Abbott NMD portfolio. You will provide assistance and education in the operating room for physicians as well as patient follow-ups. Furthermore, you will support Marketing field activities (e.g. customer events, Marketing materials, etc.).

What You’ll Work On

·  Provide expert technical support on the programming and implants of NMD products; assist physicians with the implants in the operating room and provide follow-ups
·  Maintain up to date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices
·  Resolve common customer problems and respond to unexpected customer requests with a sense of urgency and positive action
·  Provide technical support to the NMD salesforce; proactively communicate information and discuss product placement and complex case support with sales team
·  Support Marketing in preparing new product launches as well as materials for events and congresses

Required Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or science related field or degree in business administration
·  Strong technical understanding
·  Ideally clinical experience and physiology knowledge
·  Customer focus and Sales mentality
·  Innovative and solution-oriented thinking
·  Fluency in German and English, French language skills are a plus
·  Flexibility and willingness to travel >40% of the time
