Activities & Day Care Co-ordinator

Abbey Village is 34 bedded residential care facility, located at in the centre of Brigg, also providing Day Care for the local community. Our Service User are giving us 5 star rating for provision of good quality care.

We are currently looking to fill this position with a self motivated person who will assist us on our work to enhance the quality of life of our Service users.You must be self motivated and be able to use your own initiative. Training and NVQ Level 2&3 in Health and Social Care will be provided.

Job Description

The role includes organising all social activities within a 34 bed care home.
To motivate others and help create a positive culture with our residents.
To devise a annual planned calendar of activities and events.
To have active involvement in individual, personalised care planning for each resident and to provide social and emotional care and the stimulus.
To organise and be involved in activities that involve community visits outside of the home and to co-ordinate the availability of transport for our day care residents and assist with bathing if required.
To keep family, friends, relative and the local community informed and involved.

This vacancy is for 28 hours from 9am to 5pm, four days a week. Experience in activity/diversion therapy would be advantage but not necessary. You must be self motivated and be able to use your own initiative. Training and NVQ Level 2&3 in Health and Social Care will be provided. Full Driving License will be useful in this job role.

Salary will be from £10,000 to £10,500 per annum depending upon the experience. Holiday entitlement in full year will be 22 days.
