Job description

Tasks:
We are looking for a Software Engineer for Electrical & Automation Engineering at ABB Oy, Marine & Ports unit in Helsinki. In this position, you will work in a Propulsion Services Technical Management team responsible for SW engineering, planning and developing dry dock and service projects and products for ABB Azipod® propulsion systems. You will work closely with Service Sales, R&D, and Engineering, as well as cooperate with Project and Site Managers and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for Software engineering, scheduling, project related site support and site visits when needed. You will gain valuable know-how and experience in Dry Dock and modernization projects, as well as other positions. We offer you an interesting role in a multinational company and the opportunity to work closely with our customers.

Desired profile

Requirements:

We require a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software and /or Electrical Engineering. Extensive experience of using engineering tools is essential. We require several years of experience in engineering, planning and developing service projects. Previous work experience in system and/or project business is an asset. You have experience in working with different internal counterparties, such as Sales, R&D, and Site Management. You have extensive experience in Software engineering, scheduling, project related site support and site visits. You are an innovative and result-oriented team player with an organized way of working. You are also able to work independently within your area of expertise. Fluency in both Finnish and English is required.
