Shift Leader (Boxes) - 3rd Shift

Job description

Tasks:
Major Responsibilities/Activities
(List in order of importance the essential functions of the job):
• Perform Quality Inspections and First Piece Inspections
• Safety/Lean/5S/Standardized work audits
• Production Attainment Sheets & White Boards
• Keep 3-sided boards up to date
• Relieve machine operators for breaks and lunch
• Enter machine efficiencies into Excel worksheets
• Just-Do-It's (2 per month)
• Ability to operate all production equipment within their cell and have a general knowledge of technical skilled processes and equipment
• Train employees and temporaries
• Require employees to inspect tools and equipment before each use. Make daily spot checks to determine that equipment is in good condition.
• Make a planned job safety observation of each employee at least once a month.
