Project Engineer and Proposals – Drives and Controls

Job description

Tasks:
As Project Engineer and Proposals for ABB Drives division, you will have to carry out the following tasks:

1. Main task: Application Engineering
- Adapt ABB standard drawings to customers application and systems
- Customer's technical specification review and comment
- Prepare project specific drawings and customer connection interface
- Prepare technical documentation for production, as-built and final documents
- Adapt drawings for North American symbols and English/French languages
- Prepare Drives parameters list

2. Technical Proposals support:
- Review and comment technical specification on variable speed drives.
- Prepare preliminary drawings and technical datasheets.
- Participate in negotiation/clarification phase with customers during bidding process

3. Work closely with the proposals team, project management and ABB factories

4. Capable of managing and prioritizing the bid request

5. Work closely with other ABB division in order to provide a complete and competitive solution – Combined offer and packages (ex. Motor and Drives)

6. Use of Judgment and initiative necessary to identify priorities, solve problems, meet schedule, adapt to change and choose the most efficient ways to do the work

7. The candidate must be able to present technically and commercially the proposed solution to the end users, consultant, technicians, engineers, purchasing manager, etc.

Requirements:

- 3 years minimum in relevant variable speed drives experience and Power Electronics
- Commercial experience or strong sales altitudes
- Sense of urgency respect of time commitment.
