Job description
Tasks:
ABB is looking for an Application Engineer that will be responsible for providing technical support for all ABB JOKAB SAFETY products to Product Sales Specialists, Manufacturers Representatives and end customers
Typical duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Will be the technical support of ABB Jokab Safety Products and Systems
• Will work with and assist with Safety System Bill of Material (BOM) Generation
• Will be responsible for Safety System Design to applicable relevant Safety Standards per customer requirements using Auto Cad.
• Support Marketing during Tradeshows and Exhibition Fairs with trade show booth set-up and teardown
• Troubleshoot customer safety systems over the phone, with gotomeeting or onsite at the customer facility as required
• Will be responsible for filling out the daily call log
• Provide technical support and training to sales, distribution and customers for safety products and services
• Prepare sample Safety Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs
• Understand and assist customers with Stop Time and Safe Distance Calculations manually or via use of the Smart Stop Time Analyzer
• Test and evaluate all returned products
• Generate and or complete PARR reports for all returned products
•Must be self-starting, highly motivated and able to work without supervision
