Job description

Tasks:
The Inside Sales Associate is a technically trained individual involved with the execution of Export Inside Sales programs. He/she works directly with export sales customers, export sales Account Managers, and other ABB groups. The International Inside Sales organization is responsible for the development / implementation of proactive programs responding to international customer requirements, assisting in achieving equitable solutions as well as the coordination of investigations of complaints. The overall mission of the International Inside Sales Organization is to provide a consistent base for support as measured by internal and external customer satisfaction indices (especially the Net Promoter Score – NPS).

Key responsibilities include:
• Work hand-in-hand with outside Export Sales Account Manager(s) in managing the customer relationship(s) and executing export sales activities in compliance with ABB's Export Sales instructions & directives.
• Primary execution of customer activities including daily interaction with customers, managing inquiries, and addressing customer needs with appropriate ABB solutions (as well as quantifying & resolving complaints).
• Utilize ABB‘s tools & processes, including product configuration tools, order processing & business systems, etc.
• Customer Complain Resolution Process (CCRP) Coordinator – provide assurance of customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate input from other ABB groups to develop bids responsive to customer requirements.
• Simultaneously process information on multiple & varied projects, and respond effectively to changes in priorities.
• Write complete proposal documents and revise contract documents, as required.
• Compile data for reporting (e.g. contract scope, terms, cost, and profitability) to management.
• Attend both customer & internal meetings to exchange information and analyze contract requirements.
• Participate in investigating technical problems and establishing procedures & corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
• Duties may require domestic or international travel.
• May initiate change orders and expedite collection of overdue invoices.
• May require periodic customer reporting for hit rate, sales, and lost orders analysis.
• Additional duties may be assigned, as required.

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Customer Service, Sales, and/or Logistics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-related field is preferred; Business Administration-oriented programs will also be considered.
• Bi-Lingual proficiency in both Spanish and English (Verbal & Written).
• Recent experience working with clients in the utilities and/or energy markets.
• Experience working with international clients on export sales operations – experience working with clients in South America and/or Central America is a plus.
• General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems preferred.
• Previous experience with business-to-business (B2B) customer support; international client support experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and skill in utilization of computer databases, applications, & systems – efficiency using MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is necessary, and experience using SAP is highly preferred.
• Experience using Customer Relationship Management software – Salesforce CRM is a plus.
• Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
• The ability to maintain a pleasant personality while handling stressful situations is heavily preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
