Job description

A Brands Ltd- the company behind Secret Brunch events are offering a limited number of positions to candidates who wish to further their practical experience, broaden their CV or have a general interest in putting together events from start to finish.

There is no cost associated with becoming an event day intern, however you will not be paid for working with the company, and only reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Do I have to be studying Event Planning at University?
No. Although many interns are or have studied at University, it is not a requirement for the Internship. You must be interested in the job, hard-working and enthusiastic to learn.

Will there be an interview?
Yes. There could well be a two part interview where you will need to come to our offices for the initial interview, and perhaps be invited back again, should there be a need for it.

How long is the internship?
The Internship cycle is based on per event basis and on individual circumstances. After the cycle, we will sit down with the candidate, revise and determine whether they will be given a full time job.
In this time period, the intern will need to showcase his/her ability in the office, on site at events and through creativity and hard work.

What are the normal hours?
Hours would be based event day requirements. On certain events you may be required to start earlier or finish later. You will always have notice of when this will be.

Where will I be working?
Venue for events vary but will be in a Central London Location Zones 1 to 2.

What will I be doing?
You will be assisting the team to organise and plan events and other exciting plans that arise.
Your day which could include anything from attending meetings with clients, viewing venues, designing table plans. It is very hands on and you will receive lots of training and experience in organising events.

What is the Dress Code?
Pre-event setup is casual dress code. During the event you are expected to dress in line with the dress code of the event.

Do you cover Travel Expenses?
Only reasonable travel expenses will be accepted.

Will I be paid?
No, work experience is unpaid.

Is there a charge to do work experience with you?
No – it should not cost you any money to work with us. There are no charges or costs involved.

What will I get at the end of my Internship?
You will be working towards a full time job for the duration of the internship.
At the end of your Internship you will be provided with a reference.
