Job Summary :
The person hired for the position of Trade Compliance Analyst will be responsible for providing professional functional expertise, project leadership, and tactical execution of multiple Trade Compliance related activities in support of the company’s strategic plan and key initiatives related to Global Trade Compliance. The activities require functional expertise with various import, export, and related trade compliance regulations, business activities, and business processes. This position has functional responsibilities to work with the Scott Safety business unit within the 3M Personal Safety Division. This position will report to the Trade Compliance Supervisor at the Monroe, NC location.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Administer processes which conduct sanctioned party list (SPL) screening.
· Administer processes which mitigate the risks of transfers or diversion to prohibited end uses, parties, or destinations.
· Review suspected boycott requests and follow through on mandatory government reporting of validated requests.
· Apply for and ensure compliance with export licenses.
· Administer processes which submit export transactional filings to government agencies.
· Maintain local trade compliance standards, procedures, and job aids.
· Train the local business unit’s stakeholders on trade compliance standards and procedures.
· Maintain business process functionality and trade-related master data.
· Respond to requests inquiries, audits, or other issues.
· Conduct reviews of business unit processes and controls, activities, and data to determine overall level of compliance.
· Collaborate with Trade Compliance Legal counsel, business units, and other stakeholders regarding trade compliance questions, concerns, or issues.
· Lead improvement efforts related to trade compliance-related processes and controls.
Basic Qualifications:
· Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
· Minimum of one (1) year combined experience in any of the following functions: trade compliance, logistics, supply chain, and/or customer service in a private, public, government or military environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Minimum three years experience in a trade compliance role in a private, public, government or military environment
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and self-managing complex job tasks.
· Experience with developing and delivering effective training to a variety of audiences.
· Excellent team player that works well in a collaborative setting.
Location: Monroe, NC
Travel: Unlikely to exceed 10% and mostly domestic
Relocation: Not authorized
