Job Summary:
The person hired for the Production Operator position will work in our 3M manufacturing plant.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Follow operating procedures and customer specifications to produce quality products which are delivered to customers on time.
· Work effectively within a production work team and collaborate with other teams.
· Contribute to continuous improvement and problem solving.
· Maintain neat and orderly conditions in work area.
· Operate assigned equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
· Use computers as needed to run process operation.
· Inspect and package product according to standards.
This position will require:
· Working a fixed 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on shift availability
· Weekend work
· Working overtime
· Working holidays as needed
Basic Qualifications:
· Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
· Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.
This posting is for a Production Operator position at 3M Valley, NE. 3M anticipates that multiple openings for this position will occur over time. Qualified applicants may be considered as Production Operator openings occur at 3M Valley, NE, and 3M will accept applications for up to 6 months from the posting date of this requisition. Eligible applications will be kept open and active until May 2019. After that, the posting will be taken down and applicants will need to apply/re-apply for available open postings at that time.
