Job Summary :
The person hired for the position of Product Responsibility Liaison will be responsible for global regulatory compliance, hazard communication and life cycle management activities for the 3M Health Care Business Group.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Create and manage chemical data documents for new and existing products
· Coordinate compliance activities and documentation related to global Environmental Health and Safety regulations for new and existing products (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS), Registration Evaluation Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Conflict Minerals, etc.)
· Provide support on transportation classification and chemical inventory assessments
· Work with Corporate Toxicology on product biocompatibility data needs and test plans
· Interface with cross-functional product teams
· Manage new and existing product information in 3M’s Chemical Data Management System (CDMS) database
· Maintain life cycle management assessment data
· Interact with Regulatory Authorities and Notified Bodies
· Determine product country of origin
· Compile tracking metrics
Basic Qualifications:
· Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Biological Sciences/Biology (completed and verified prior to start from) from an accredited institution
· Minimum six (6) months of experience working in a regulated health care environment within a private, public, government or military
· Minimum six (6) months of experience creating and managing chemical data documents for chemical health care products
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Toxicology or a related discipline from an accredited institution
· Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a regulated health care environment (private, public, government or military)
· Minimum two (2) years of experience creating and managing chemical data documents for chemical health care products
· Direct experience with creating regulatory body submissions/registrations for compliance to Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS), Registration Evaluation Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) and California’s Proposition 65
· Experience working on a cross functional team
· Excellent communications skills (oral, written and presentation)
· Microsoft Office proficient
Location: Maplewood, MN
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
