Job Summary :

The person hired for this position will lead efforts to drive continuous improvement in EHS, Quality, Supply Chain Performance, Cost, Capacity and Employee Engagement.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Leading the development and implementation ofimprovements &solutions to work processes in support of business and strategic plans.
·  Ensuring Environmental, Health, and Safety continuous improvement, compliance, and accountability through active visible leadership, ownership, and involvement.
·  Driving continuous improvement in quality and productivity performance through championing appropriate application of Lean Six Sigma.
·  Working closely with Supply Chain team to drive performance improvements in areas of responsiveness, manufacturing planning, capacity management, and inventory management.
·  Driving sustainable improvements in factory cost through application of 3M's Lean Manufacturing System, Value Stream Improvement Planning, Lean Six Sigma, and Entitlement Thinking.
·  Influencing, coaching and developing a team consisting of Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, Process Techs, Lean Leads, Training Facilitators, and Production employees.
·  Resolving issues and conflicts related to direct and next level reports.
·  Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:  

·  Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum of five (5) years manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment 

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from and accredited institution
·  Minimum of two (2) years combined supervisory and/or managerial experience
·  Strong communication skills to lead direct reports and manage customer interactions
·  Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
·  Project leadership experience and demonstrated ability to develop & drive time lines
·  Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt experience
·  Ability to work well cross-functionally

Travel:   May include up to 5% domestic travel
