Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Maintenance Supervisor will handle a variety of non-routine and difficult inquiries. Direct leadership responsibility for subordinates with clearly defined roles. Reviews and approves work results conducted by subordinates. Supervises support level employees within specific disciplines such as facilities, process information and controls, engineering administrative services, etc. May provide work direction to Non-3M Workers.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Supervises the development and implementation of improvements and/or solutions to work processes and tools
·  Budget responsibility for team/work group; makes recommendations that impact how financial resources are generated or spent
·  Determines team’s priorities and timetables, assigns resources/tasks, and provides performance feedback; resolves issues and conflicts related to direct reports
·  Ensures projects support business needs and goals and that project objectives and deadlines are met
·  Negotiates and counsels at an advanced level with an audience which may not be knowledgeable in the subject area
·  Manages stockroom to established 3M standards; coordinate all rental equipment needed by maintenance
·  Responsible for purchasing all materials required for plant engineering activities; manage flow of PM work orders - track completion to schedule
·  Manage all documentation and records
·  Willingness to be on-call

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum three (3) years of Maintenance or Engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Master's degree in a Technical or Engineering field
·  Minimum five (5) years of Maintenance or Engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
·  Supervision experience in a private, public, government or military environment
·  In depth knowledge of Maintenance practices as well as Manufacturing and Facilities equipment
·  Knowledge of computer programs and corporate systems relevant to Plant Engineering

Location: Hartford City, IN

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international
