Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Logistics Supervisor will supervise all functions involved in Logistics operations, including Line Supply, Transportation, Inventory Control, Seefeld Receiving and Shipping.  The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for organizing and monitoring the storage and distribution of semi and finished goods.  This person will be responsible for direct supervision, training/certification, safety performance, product quality, cost control, employee communications, and employee morale and productivity.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Provide direct supervision to hourly production employees with responsibility for Logistics Operations
·  Inspire integrity by upholding and complying with 3M policies and guidelines
·  Provide leadership for assigned operations by fostering cross-functional teamwork and communicating goals of the organization to employees
·  Review inventory issues with the quality and engineering teams and use available resources to resolve process, maintenance, equipment and related technical problems
·  Determine priorities on a daily basis, allocate work assignments, communicate expectations, and monitor workflow
·  Review department expenses, overtime hours, and productivity to recommend cost savings programs
·  Ensure completion of cycle counts, review inventory accuracy, shipping discrepancies, and lost loads and implement improvements where needed
·  Conduct department crew meetings to review team performance and celebrate successes
·  Evaluate employee performance and provide necessary coaching, training, feedback and disciplinary actions
·  Lead and participate in Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement activities
·  Willingness to work off shift and to be on-call during weekends as needed by the manufacturing and operations teams
·  Complete administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control and vacation planning

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum three (3) years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Logistics in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's degree in a Supply Chain field from an accredited university
·  Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Manufacturing/Logistics environment
·  Minimum three (3) years of Logistics/Supply Chain experience
·  Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience
·  Excellent communication skills both oral and written
·  MS Office proficiency (IMES a plus)
·  Experience with WMS/Shipping Databases
·  Ability to work with a Team that provides 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift support
·  Previous Six Sigma project experience

Location: Irvine, CA

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
