Job Summary :
The person hired for the Line Cook position will prepare breakfast, lunch, appetizer, and dinner entrees as well as assist in the planning and preparation of employee meals. Effective, positive communication with team members, staff, and guests is essential. Responsibly manage inventory and ordering processes (supplies and product). Continuously identify and communicate efficient production methods, new ideas and waste management procedures. Support new kitchen training programs, best practices, and development. Practice Teamwork and respect by assisting where needed in all areas. Practice proper hygiene and sanitation.
Assure that the kitchen is clean, in order and work-ready prior to leaving. Inspections to be done to maintain quality production processes that meet established site and industry standards. Maintain records, reports and any changes requested.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Involves pre-prep, final cooking, presentation, plate artistry, garnish and arrangement of all meals based on the work hours scheduled. Including but not limited to the following: Breakfast, Breaks, Lunch, Hors d’oeuvres, Salad, Dinner (Plated and Buffet style) and Dessert
· Follow Wonewok Sustainability best practices
· Prepare all food according to ServeSafe guidelines (HACCP, sanitation, and personal hygiene) and follow the “Clean as you go” philosophy
· Willingness to learn and share food preparation concepts
· Menu development and enhancement
· Team participation with leadership qualities
This position may require:
· Extended hours
· Weekend work
· Working evenings
· Working on holidays as needed
· Standing for long periods of time
· Lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted and over 50 lbs. assisted
Basic Qualifications:
· Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the hospitality industry in a private, public, government,or military environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of proper knife handling skills
· Knowledge of fundamental pastry and baking skills
· Computer skills including word and excel
· Possess a two (2) Year Degree in Culinary Arts Program
· Experience in ethnic and cultural cuisine preparation
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to teach and train
· Self-motivated
