Job Summary :
The person hired for this position will be responsible for developing and delivering effective Agile and Scrum training and coaching to enable teams to achieve greater Agile maturity and ultimately deliver improved outcomes including increased velocity, improved quality, and reduced costs. This will be achieved through the delivery of training, mentoring, or through learning workshops.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· ProvidingAgile coaching and teaching for teams at various stages of maturity from new to advancing.
· Establishingand maintainingleading knowledge of core Agile values and principles and the Scrum framework.
· Guidingteams through practical and pragmatic approaches that increase their rate of maturity and directly lead to improved outcomes as they adopt and adapt the Scrum framework to their work environment.
· Working in an advisory capacity to Scrum Teams as they identify, author and prioritize Product Backlog Items (PBI), prepare Ready Backlog and develop Sprint Backlog (including estimating) that delivers on their Product Vision, Roadmap and Sprint Goals.
· Mentoring Scrum Masters, Scrum Product Owners and Scrum Product Development Teams, providing hands-on training as needed.
· Guiding Scrum Teams on Visual Management techniques including Sprint Burndown and Burnup Charts.
· Coaching and facilitatingScrum Masters in the analysis of processes and outcomes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement that will drive greater velocity and quality.
· Working with organizational Leadership to provide Organization Transformation guidance to ensure the appropriate size and number of teams needed to support all work of the organization through an effective network of small teams.
· Guiding organizational Leadership on decisions that should lead to better outcomes utilizing Scrum.
· Collaboratingwith other Agile and Scrum Coaches across 3M to strive for consistency and greater learning across the corporation.
· Supportingcommunities of practice for Scrum Masters and Scrum Product Owners.
· Beingan advocate for the Agile mindset and application of Healthy Scrum in an empowered, collaborative environment and culture.
· This role will likely evolve over time as our Agile mindset and Scrum framework application changes, so flexibility and ability to adapt are critical.
· Supportingglobal needs for Agile/Scrum train-the-trainer activities.
· Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
· Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
· Minimumoffive (5) yearscombinedProjectManagement, Coaching, Teaching and/or Consultingexperience ina private, public, government or military environment
· Minimumoftwo (2) yearsAgile/Scrum experience
Preferred Qualifications:
· Working experience as Scrum Master, Scrum Product Owner or Agile Coach
· Experience working in New Product Introduction, Commercialization, or Product Design/Launch.
· CSM, CSPO, CSC, or CST certification is desirable
· Full understanding and embracing of the Agile and Scrum mindset and values
· Able to deal with high degree of ambiguity, maintain composure and negotiate solutions in challenging and stressful situations
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus an ability to motivate teams
· Ability to solve complex problems where in-depth analysis and evaluation of various factors is required
· Commitment to continuing professional development
