Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Strategic Sourcing Analyst will provide analytical and application support for specific and well-defined Sourcing Operations areas in order to help drive operational excellence in the areas of service, speed and cost.  Individual will also be a contributing team member in terms of helping to drive the growth engine for 3M. May lead less complex/critical processes in support of the Sourcing Policy.  Follows basic Sourcing guidelines to monitor, measure, improve, analyze and implement Sourcing processes and customer requirements in completing assignments.  May lead implementation projects and provide direction to focused teams.  The employee performs work under general supervision.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Reporting and project support across multiple business groups, divisions and Sourcing category teams
·  Extract system data using Business Objects, PeopleSoft Query, SAP Reporting and Analytics, Access DB
·  Preparation of data and presentations for use with the Sourcing Leadership Team and company executives
·  Create and maintain cleansing documentation and procedures.
·  Troubleshoot data conversion issues
·  Collaborate on cross-process data defects, documenting action items and discussion reports.  Communicate the actions and next steps
·  Execute ERP data load readiness, post load data validations and post load in-system validation checks

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possesses or is in the final year of pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program
·  Combined experience in a Supply Chain and/or manufacturing position in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or Supply Chain Management
·  Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Procurement Analyst
·  Experience with Business Objects reporting
·  Strong communication (oral/ written) and presentation skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
·  Detail oriented, ability to be self-directed, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
·  Experience with PeopleSoft and/or SAP
·  Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
·  Experience working in cross-functional teams

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel
