3M is seeking Full Time Production Operators for the Consumer Business Group located in Hutchinson, MN.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

The Production Operator will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:

·  Operate manual and/or automated packaging lines to convert in process materials to intermediate final pack of variety of different tapes, films and other various products.
·  Operate automated assembly machines to pack out products
·  Maintain quality standards
·  Utilize 3M Computer systems to track production and packaging cycles
·  Maintain communication with production coworkers and supervisors regarding production performance
·  Perform production tasks in a safe manner
·  Participate in all required production and safety training
·  Participate in proactive lean manufacturing initiatives

This position will require working:

·  Rotating shifts and/or a 3rd shift depending on shift availability

This position may require working:

·  Overtime as needed
·  Extended hours as needed
·  Weekend work as needed
·  Holidays as needed, depending on business needs
·  Short notice shift coverage

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Minimum one (1) year of experience in manufacturing in aprivate, public, government or military environments
·  Possess a technical diploma or certificate with emphasis in mechanical, electrical or another manufacturing discipline
·  Minimum three (3) or more years of coating and/or extruding process experience in aprivate, public, government or military environments
·  Experience operating a powered fork truck
·  Basic computer knowledge

This posting is for a Production Operator position at 3M Hutchinson. 3M anticipates that multiple openings for this position will occur over time.
