Job Summary :
The person hired for the position of Advanced Value Stream Engineer will part of the plant Value Stream Engineering group. This experienced Engineer must use Engineering/Technical skills and knowledge of engineering/scientific concepts, procedures, standards, and industry awareness to identify and resolve Product Quality and Productivity issues. This individual will initiate, implement, and complete projects and activities leading to improved Product Quality, Productivity, and Customer Service. This position requires a self-starter with strong team skills and interpersonal abilities.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Provides main plant contact with customer(s)
· Completes Quality Incident Reports including CAPA’s for manufacturing operation issues (RM’s, filling, coating, converting and packaging)
· Develops and presents annual product reviews for customer and regulatory inspections
· Through the 90-day Value Stream Improvement Plan identifies, recommends and leads teams to develop and implement programs to improve and/or enhance: (1) product cost, service and quality and (2) process safety and health environmental impact
· Develops project plans for NPI programs, product improvements and customer driven changes
· Authors protocols and technical reports that meet pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
· Develops extensive lean six sigma (LSS) knowledge and techniques and runs projects to improve manufacturing processes for the product lifecycle
· Identifies and implements a comprehensive education plan to continually advance technical skills and personal development as well as enhancing organizational effectiveness. Establishes self as a resource within immediate work group
Basic Qualifications:
· Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
· Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Minimum three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a GMP environment
· Lean Six Sigma Green Belt trained.
· Experience with direct customer interaction
Location: Northridge, CA
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
