Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Advanced Global Technical Service Microbiologist willbe responsible for providing expert level technical support for the 3M Food Safety Products to regional technical and professional service, R&D, marketing, sales representatives and customers.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Providing advanced level training and ongoing support for sales, marketing, regional and local technical and professional services, and customers
·  Writing and revising Instructions for Use (IFUs)
·  Providing consultation on customer workflow, usability, and desired features
·  Supporting generation and revision of packaging, labels, and supporting documentation
·  Logging of complaints, defects, or other sources of customer dissatisfaction
·  Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
·  Gathering Voice of Customer (VOC) andsupervising/coordinatingCustomer Verification Experiments (CVEs)
·  Raising the visibility of 3M Food Safety products.
·  Participation in competitive assessments and studies, while supporting marketing in the development and execution of product promotions.

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess a Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum of one (1) year combined experience in Food Science, Microbiology, Molecular Biology and/or Technical Service in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Master’s degree or higher in Biochemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or related discipline from an accredited institution
·  Excellent computer skills including software installation
·  Strong communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
·  Experience working on a global cross functional team
·  Microsoft Office proficient

Location: Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

Relocation: Is not authorized
