Job Summary :
The person hired for the position ofHealthcare Data Developer will work within a cross-functional team to load, process, QA & deliver data to external clients. We work with government agencies, insurance companies, health care systems, health care providers, and internal groups to intake healthcare data and process it for other HIS business areas to consume, so they can deliver software solutions that directly impact the future of health spending and patient care. The individual will work with clients, product development, consulting, and quality assurance teams to identify issues and create processes to enhance the data processing cycle.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Performs bulk data imports and creates stored procedures, views, functions and queries
· Writes SQL code, procedures and functions to process data
· Creates automated processes to validate and translate data into our data warehouses
· Performs quality assurance procedures including troubleshooting and debugging production SQL code
· Assists with peer code reviews, troubleshooting issues as they arise
· Creates technical documentation
· Adopt the SCRUM development methodology
· Assists with data mapping requirements
· Works effectively with Data Consulting and Client Services to produce products for the client
· Maintains good coding habits including documentation of work, adhering to best practices, and a willingness to share thoughts and experiences with the team
Basic Qualifications:
·
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR a High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and four (4) years of data operations experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree education requirement?
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience writing complex SQL, dynamic SQL and stored procedures (course work and internships included) in a private, public, government or military environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Two (2+) years of experience writing complex SQL, dynamic SQL, and stored procedures for data warehouse processing
· Healthcare experience and working with a team of developers
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
· Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Must have excellent communications skills (written & verbal)
· Experience with quality assurance fundamentals is given strong preference
· Proven ability to maintain superior customer and employee relations in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong time management skills as well as the initiative to resolve problems by communicating promptly and driving project forward
· Strong interpersonal skills and judgment in order to interact effectively with a broad spectrum of people, both individually and in groups
