Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Dental Setup Technician will be a member of the 3M Oral Care Solutions Division digital manufacturing technology team.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, eager to learn and exceed expectations to produce high quality case setups within the digital workflow. Specifically, the Dental Setup Technician will process 3D digital files to provide digital treatment setups for orthodontic and dental appliances.

 Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Responsible for daily digital scan data processing and orthodontic digital set-ups for treatment with removable and/or fixed appliances.
·  Providing daily support for Customer Service, Clinical Technical support teams and digital modification requests with dental professionals.
·  Communication with the customer (dentists, orthodontists) may be required.
·  Performing miscellaneous duties as required by supervision.
·  May be required to assist in training of co-workers on an as needed basis.
·  Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:  

·  Associate’s/Two Year Technical degree or higher from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and one (1) combined year of experience in the dental and/or orthodontic field in lieu of the Associate’s degree education requirement
·  Minimum of one (1) years of combined experience with 3D and/or CAD and/or Graphic Design

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Experience with Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software and/or graphic design software
·  Experience in a medical device environment
·  Experience with custom manufacturing driven by digital technologies and/or software
·  Ability to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements
·  Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
·  Good oral and written communication skills
·  Excellent interpersonal skills

Location:  Maplewood, MN

Travel:  Up to 5%domestic/international

Relocation:  Is not authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
