Want to work at a successful and expanding web development company, specialising in eCommerce web design and development? We’re looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join our experienced front end development team.

2Dmedia Ltd is award winning web Development Company based in Rivenhall, Essex, we specialise in eCommerce design and offer a wide range of systems including Point of Sale and EPOS software. We are constantly evolving, offering new services and products to our clients regularly and we’re looking for great team members who can really own their job roles and provide an outstanding service to our clients.

The ideal candidate should be a mid to high level front end developer with a good understanding and experience of HTML and CSS. PHP and JavaScript development will also be required in the role but the same level of experience in these languages isn’t required as training can be given on site.


Job Role:

You’ll be working at the front of our business, no two days will be the same as you’ll be rolling out website updates and functionality changes, building newsletters and even building test pages and functionality for our Marketing team. You’ll need to be proactive in gaining experience and happy to advance your skill set on a regular basis to allow you to keep up with the constantly changing skills required for front end development.

You’ll be expected to communicate with clients via telephone and our Portal system when required to ensure updates and functionality changes are implemented as requested and to notify the client of completed work, we expect you to be fairly confident on the phone but our Portal system is our primary form of client contact.


Responsibilities:

The job role includes a selection of responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Turning PSD designs into HTML/CSS pages & newsletters

  • Editing and adding new front-end functionality to websites

  • Taking ownership of website updates and ensuring they are fully tested

  • Creation of brochure sites using our bespoke CMS

  • Recreating and squashing bugs noted by our clients

Required Skills:

Applicants should have the following skill set to be considered for the position:

  • Solid understanding of HTML & CSS

  • Basic PHP & JavaScript knowledge

  • Good Communication skills both internally and externally

  • Eye for detail

  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • Personal Interest in coding and always looking to improve development skill set


Useful Skills:

These additional skills would be great, but they’re not required to apply:

  • Advanced understanding of PHP & JavaScript

  • Experience working with databases, preferably MySQL

  • Experience working with dynamic websites

  • Experience with Campaign Monitor

  • Great Problem Solving Skills
