This job is an ideal opportunity for building on and extending the experience the candidate may have obtained working on the technology side of the financial services sector, particularly aimed at the IFA and wealth management areas.

• The Platform Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the Xplan Platform and be the primary relationship manager with IRESS the platform provider and overseer of the Service Level Agreement.
• To support the development and delivery of a sustainable and scalable platform for all products and services and its efficient operation.
• Management of a small team dedicated to the efficient use of the platform, its change control, configuration, testing, training and roll out.
• The mission is to build a flexible platform that will increase reuse of platform assets, increase personnel efficiencies, thereby containing operating costs.
• Creating the platform delivery roadmap based on the business product strategy and market demand
• Defining requirements and working closely with the internal teams and platform provider to oversee platform development process from concept to launch.
• Managing the scope of the platform to ensure it drives speed to market and delivers operational efficiency
• Driving platform innovation leveraging its multi-channel accessibility for both business partners and clients
• A successful rollout to business partners and clients
• Managing all aspects of change management to include upgrades, development requests, configuration requests, user changes, integration with other providers (wrap platforms, suppliers, etc)
• Managing platform support activities to include helpdesk support, configuration and testing

The ideal candidate has a strong background of wealth management software in a UK regulated environment, and has a general understanding of the products and services prevalent in the sector. The Platform Manager must be well-versed in the entire life-cycle of regulated and non-regulated wealth management sales and administration and be comfortable working across various teams and stakeholders. The Platform Manager requires expertise in assessing needs and potential solutions as well as the ability to create support for the changes the evolution of the platform requires amongst users.

Training experience and the ability to develop training needs would also be useful.
