Background & Purpose of the Job

The Organization Effectiveness (OE) and Analytics team creates and deploys best in class organization standards that touch all parts of our business- using analytics to build our points of view. We invest in raising the capability in Analytics of our team, developing and launching business ready tools to enable effective implementation for Human Resources.

Who You Are & What You'll Do

The Data Science Specialist will need to combine proficiency in OE execution with the ability to run and implement Human Resources projects across a variety of different business units within Unilever.

Responsibilities
· Work closely with HR and Business Leaders and to identify the Organization elements to a business problem, and co-create solutions to address the opportunity
· Build prototype tools and new ways of modelling OE and Analytics, including the use of data sets (e.g. Finance, Productivity tools)
· Effective project leadership related to OE, Analytics, workforce planning and employee insights – across employee and non-employees
· Partner with ETS I&A and data scientists to develop breakthrough solutions
· Responsible for applying new technology, predictive analytics, insights and AI into HR processes and practices.

What You'll Need to Succeed

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in all areas of data and supporting the business with the following:
· At a Bachelor's degree – prefer related to Science and Data background
· Minimum of 1 year of experience working with large sets of data including spread sheets, integrated report, finance data etc.
· Advanced skill or certification in Excel (including master use of VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, Pivot tables- will be tested as part of the interview process)
· Rigorous & creative analytic approach that enables superior business outcomes
· Able to communicate findings clearly (tell a story) to all audiences
· Recent experience with applying new technology, predictive analytics, insights and AI into various HR avenues like: talent management, succession planning and development practices.
· Knowledge of Machine Learning or Statistics preferable
