Thales Protected Vehicles exists to develop protected mobility vehicles, developing specialised products to meet specific requirements not catered for elsewhere. Our manufacturing, engineering and design operations are based in Bendigo, Victoria and we also have a major support facility in Brisbane, Queensland. Our products include the Bushmaster protected mobility vehicle, the recently developed Hawkei, survivability enhancement kits, engineering support services and vehicle maintenance and repairs.

The role

We currently have a unique opportunity available for a supplier quality engineer to join the team based at Eagle Farm. This role will focus on:

· Providing supplier quality engineering support for the support of our vehicles and facilitate supply chain improvement initiatives. Your experience

To be successful in this role you are:

· Ideally tertiary qualified in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering
· Importantly and key to the success of this role, you also have previous solid experience working as already a supplier quality engineer with detailed knowledge of ISO 9001, manufacturing processes, SPC, LEAN and inspection techniques.
· Experience in supply chain management will be highly regarded.
· You are also analytical and enjoy problem solving with a strong ability to understand and critique requirements.
· You will also be an experienced and qualified lead auditor working closely with suppliers and driving improvement initiatives. Special Requirements: You must be eligible for a defence security clearance. This role will require some interstate travel.
