Cereal Partners is offering the opportunity to work as part of the site Manufacturing Excellence team to support and deliver Factory improvements in line with the Factory Operational Master Plan. We are looking for a Placement Student with an educational background in either an engineering or science base qualifactoins

What you can expect?

Key responsibilities will include:
· Support the Operational teams in developing daily standards to ensure improvement activities are sustained.

· Support/Lead an improvement project (SMED, centre-lining or DMAIC) in Operations to improve Factory performance or compliance according to the Operational Master Plan requirements.

· Working with the Factory Operational teams and Focussed Improvement Pillar to identify key areas for performance improvement to support the development of the Factory Operational Master Plan.
Training will be given in both every day problem solving and basic problem solving methodology to allow the individual to participate and lead improvement projects.
The role will involve developing relationships with a variety of functions within the Factory from support functions to frontline Operational Technicians. There will be opportunity for the role to experience some shift work to understand the requirements of supporting a 24 hour a day 7 day a week operating unit.
